The beauty benefits of probiotics

Probiotics are bacterial microorganisms that are well-known for their ability to alleviate certain internal issues, such as diarrhea, IBS and lactose intolerance. However, dermatologists and other skin experts have found that their benefits go beyond digestive health.

Since acne is partially caused by an overgrowth of bacteria, ingested probiotics help to treat blemish-prone skin by rebalancing bacteria in the stomach to create an overload of good bacteria. Topically, they provide protection against harmful bacteria, restore balance, and build up skin's protective barrier and normal bacterial flora to help eliminate breakouts.

Eczema is believed to be caused by a skin imbalance that causes barrier dysfunction. Some dermatologists have found that probiotics improve eczema by aiding good bacteria and allowing them to continue releasing oxygen so skin breathes better, blood flows, and balance is restored.

Probiotics may even help fight the external aggressors that speed up aging. Destruction of skin's barrier due to factors like the sun, smoke and pollution leads to greater dispersion of harmful bacteria, which can cause inflammation, loss of elasticity, and ultimately, wrinkles. But probiotics can help improve moisturization, stimulate cell functions, and regenerate mature skin so it becomes softer and smoother.

If you include probiotics in your beauty routine, you'll find that topical skincare products start producing results anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Daily internal supplements can take weeks or months for a noticeable difference.

But don't be surprised if you feel better while you wait to see changes in your skin.

Pairing fillers with Botox for better results

If you're planning to undergo an injectable treatment with a hyaluronic-acid filler such as Juvederm, and it's within your budget, you may want to consider asking your doctor about including Botox or Dysport in the procedure.

Studies have shown that filler results may last longer when used in tandem with Botox. Many doctors believe that by reducing muscle contractions, Botox and Dysport help slow the breakdown of the filler due to less movement in the area.

Keep in mind, Botox and Dysport are not appropriate for all areas of the face, so the benefits of this kind of pairing are most commonly seen around the eyes, between the brows, and in the area surrounding the lips.

Ascorderm is different

Ascorderm is different.

In a clinical study, Ascorderm with Vitamin C was applied to human skin and tested hourly over a 12 hour period to determine its stability.

Results: after topical application of the formulation, the ascorbic acid level achieved was 8.5 times the normal tissue value and remained constant when a topical application was applied every 8 hours.

Conclusion: Ascorderm penetrates rapidly after its topical application and provides a stable and persistent reservoir of L-Ascorbic Acid for your skin to use.

Ascorderm is the only topical Vitamin C product with this proven level of concentration in the skin.

Ascorderm’s use on younger skin resulted in an increased preservation of the collagen and elastin integrity. This produced a significant antiaging effect as it slowed down the formation process of wrinkles.

On mature skin, Ascorderm can actually help aid in reducing the appearance of sun damage.

Ascorderm’s ROS Inhibiting Extract Complex helps to boost the activity of Vitamin C. This complex, comprised of Ginkgo Biloba, Grapeseed Extract and Green Tea Extract helps to stimulate the synthesis of the collagen in the skin.

Younger-looking Skin & Ascorderm

Younger looking skin is your objective. If your skin is soft, supple and vibrant, you want to keep it that way. If your skin is coarse, sun-damaged and dull and starting to show the signs of free radical and environmental damage, you want to reverse these effects.

The use of stable Vitamin C (also know as L-Ascorbic Acid) is backed by scientific evidence showing its effectiveness at reversing the signs of aging (see before and after photos below). Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, neutralizing the effects of free radicals: those pesky little molecules that attack stable molecules and make them unstable, thus causing damage to your skin.

Ascorderm is specially formulated to harness and use the antioxidant, protective and stimulative power of Vitamin C to reduce free radical damage and to help repair your skin.

Ascorderm, with L-Ascorbic Acid, penetrates the skin to reach the cellular membrane and deliver photo-protective power.

Ascorderm with L-Ascorbic Acid proactively

* uses the antioxidant activity of Vitamin C to dramatically slow the signs of natural aging
* helps to enhance elasticity
* helps to stimulate the renewal of collagen and elastin fibers
* harmonizes the complexion of the skin
* helps to revive cellular functions dormant from years of over exposure to the sun
